Welcome to Ormskirk Parish Church

Volunteering at Ormskirk Parish Church

Ormskirk Parish Church

Record of Volunteer Time 2018

We know that many members of our church family give their time voluntarily – without any thought of public recognition

Volunteers give their time in the following ways (and we may have missed some)

Cleaning, decorating & managing the buildings – the Church and New Church House

Guiding visitors around the Church

Helping on activity stalls, and fund-raising stalls

Leading House Groups – for Bible Study, etc.

Managing the finances of the Church – in various ways

Membership of the Parochial Church Council

Music  – bell ringers, choristers, the Music Group and the Organist

Reading  lessons and leading prayers

Serving refreshments in N.C.H. or the Tower Room

Shared Ministry Team / Leading Services

Teachers and helpers in activities with children – including Sunday School, TGIF, and Youth Clubs etc..

Visiting sick people at home or in hospital

During 2009 the church had to be registered as a charity and the Charity Commission recommends that records are kept of the contributions that volunteers make to the charity.  We wish to include some information about these activities on our Annual Report for 2016, so invite you to record your (best estimate of) your hours on the attached form.  [We will not mention your name – unless you ask us to do so]
