CHILDRENS WORK AT
ORMSKIRK PARISH CHURCH

At Ormskirk Parish Church, we welcome children of all ages. We offer a lively, fun Sunday School for all children, based on a theme central to adult and childrens groups.

The children's groups are organised based on the ages of the children concerned.

The children tend to stay in for the first ten minutes of the service, then go to their group.

* Tots in the Tower - Children aged 0-5 years

This group meets in the Tower Room at the back of the church and caters for babies and pre-school children. There are craft activities, stories and a range of toys for the children to play with.
The group is taken by a leader, and parents are encouraged to come along and share the fun with their children.

* Jamsters - Children aged 5-8 years

This group meet in New Church House, next to the church. The children enjoy a range of activities, including Bible stories, craft activities and games are led by a leader and helper from the church

* Prayer Kidz - Children aged 8-11 years

This group meet in New Church House, next to the church. The children take part in Bible Stories, craft activities and discussions and are encouraged to actively take part in sessions.

* The God Squad - Children aged 11 years +

At Ormskirk Parish Church, we respect and value children and believe that they play a vital part in church life. Where ever possible, we encourage the children to feel part of the worship by taking part in services - Bible readings, saying prayer, flag waving, songs and dancing.
As well as Sunday School, the Church runs an annual Holiday Club in Ormskirk Church of England School, and our Praise Party Team provides occasional fun and entertainment for children of primary school age.
