Weddings

For many couples, being married in a church, before God is very important. At present, at least one of the couple would need to live in the parish or be on the church electoral role in order to be married at Ormskirk Parish Church or Lathom Park Chapel.

We run informal marriage preparation evenings early in the year, please contact the office for more information.

The Bishop's guidelines allow us to marry divorcees in specific circumstances.

Baptisms

Baptisms normally take place on the 2nd Sunday of the month in the 9.45am or 11.15am service. An alternative is Lathom Park Chapel on the 4th Sunday, at the 11am service.

Baptisms are for anyone who lives in the parish, or has a particular connection to the Church. Prior to the service, we will come to visit the family to talk about what Baptism is and go through the service. We also ask you to come along to services at least twice before your Baptism.
