Welcome to Ormskirk Parish Church a historic church that looks to serve the community.
Characterised by being the only church in the country with a tower and steeple at the same end we are steeped in history. We are noted for many examples of fine stained glass windows, historic connections to the Earl of Derby's family and we have Lancashire's largest working organ.
Yet we are more than a historic artefact. Our Sundays are characterised by two distinct forms of worship.
At 9:30am you will find us offering traditional worship, mostly Holy Communion with services accompanied by our fine organ.
At 11am we have a lively vibrant service with provision for children's activities, all age worship and contemporary music led by our worship band.
We are a focus for many civic occasions in this historic market town, supporting Edge Hill University staff and students with our chaplaincy services and playing a role in the local Foodbanks and Street Pastors.
We're a popular venue for weddings and baptisms and have much to offer throughout the week. And what's more in New Church House we have a modern hall available to hire for a wide range of events.
At Ormskirk Parish Church we
believe we should be
- Encountering God
- Expressing God's love
- Embracing Diversity
- Encouraging one another
- Everyone is valued
